We new about the operation since last July after a dinner with Champagne house owner’s. The Pinault and Henriot – La Rouzière families, owners of Artémis Domaines and Maisons & Domaines Henriot respectively, are pooling their wine estates. This merger gives birth to a unique ensemble in the world of exceptional wines. The new group, which retains the name Artémis Domaines, is majority owned by the Pinault family alongside the families that own Maisons & Domaines Henriot as minority shareholders. It has a supervisory board chaired by Gilles de Larouzière and will be managed by Frédéric Engerer, Managing Director of Artémis Domaines, together with all the teams.

Artémis Domaines is a group with unanimously recognized expertise in cultivating prestigious terroirs and producing exceptional wines with strict respect for the environment. Owned by the Pinault family, the group owns Château Latour, 1er grand cru classé in Pauillac, Clos de Tart in Morey-Saint-Denis and Domaine d’Eugénie in Vosne-Romanée in Burgundy, the vineyard of Château Grillet in the Rhone Valley, as well as Domaine Eisele Vineyard located in Napa Valley in California, and a minority stake in Champagne Jacquesson.

The family-owned group Maisons & Domaines Henriot owns Bouchard Père & Fils in Beaune, William Fèvre in Chablis, Maison Henriot in Champagne and Beaux-Frères in Oregon. Since 1808, Champagne Henriot has belonged to the very small circle of historical champagne houses that have remained entirely independent and family-owned. Since 1731, Bouchard Père & Fils has gathered a fabulous vineyard heritage of nearly 100 hectares in the Côte-d’Or, including many precious parcels, such as Montrachet, Chevalier Montrachet, Vigne de l’Enfant Jésus, Corton Charlemagne, Bonnes Mares, Chambertin or Meursault Genevrières. Domaine William Fèvre is the most important Grand Cru producer in Chablis. Created in 1986, Beaux-Frères is now a reference in Oregon.
